This Isn't A Blog It's Recycled Paper

Move with me

A book i found in the Design Museum New York

Rufus Butler Seder

Interesting take on movement. One to look out for. Possible use in future billboard advertising...i can see it now...

Projection

Innovation is the key

So i was cruising round new york the other day and stumbled across the MoMa store so had a cheeky view and the creativity in there got my juices flowing and gave me the idea of....The Projection Calculater where you can project your equations onto walls or any other surface. Pretty nifty in an office block or when out in the middle of nowhere or just down the street. Works off the idea that its a pain in the ass when you can't see your phone screen.

Idea-In the Bag

Turning a brief on its head

a clever way to interpret a brief. Powerade is known for sports rehabilitation and hydration but rather than focus on how this adds as a physical and mental strength the product is being promoted as a natural alternative to how it is the individual who adds the strength. It also plays on how the product works from the inside out.

Long time away but time to make the big play

So....

New York is over and gone, anything learnt...

Put simply, Hell Yeh. Agency visits were amazing, great people and the clarity of a different way of advertising has done wonders for my approach.

As for the shopping and sight-seeing, you may question the motives but the results will soon be evident if not through my increasing capability with a pen and design sheet, then my sudden desire for another coffee...

Anyway, i leave you with two ideas I intend to develop...

1. Pillowcases in a break in an emergency case in girls toilets. Promoting Lynx (AXE for our american counterparts). Promotes the product to a new audience whilst keeping the image accustomed to the product.

2. American President Top Trumps. Deaths/ Motions Passed/ (Successful) Assasination Attempts?)...Need anymore be said.

Something to look out for too, on a trip around one of the districts on our way to RGA i saw possilby the greatest gift ever...Brown bread with Obama's face on it. Absolutely Brilliant, and you see, advertising can indeed be everywhere.
